- Graduated from Woodside High School (Woodside, Calif.), where he was swim team MVP from 2013-16
- Left Woodside as the school record holder in the 200 IM &Â 100 breast
- Also swam for Palo Alto Stanford Aquatics and was named the club's swimmer of the year in 2016
- Served as a team captain for Palo Alto from 2015-16
- Helped Palo Alto become Junior National West champions in winter of 2015 & held club's 100m breast record for the 15-16 age group as of 2016
Personal
- Born on September 5, 1998
- Son of Par & Carol Arvidsson
- Has one brother, Erik, who is a competitive skier & a member of the United States Ski Team
- Both parents are UC Berkeley graduates
- Father, Par, is a Cal swim legend, having been inducted into Cal Athletic Hall of Fame in 1991. Was a Gold medalist in the 100 fly at 1980 Olympics & was a 22-time Swedish champion. Helped Bears win NCAA titles in 1979 & 1980 & was a top 10 NCAA Scholar-Athlete in addition to establishing numerous records at Cal
- Also grew up as a competitive skier, but gave up the sport as a sophomore in high school to focus on swimming
