  • Has one brother, Erik, who is a competitive skier & a member of the United States Ski Team
  • Both parents are UC Berkeley graduates
  • Father, Par, is a Cal swim legend, having been inducted into Cal Athletic Hall of Fame in 1991. Was a Gold medalist in the 100 fly at 1980 Olympics & was a 22-time Swedish champion. Helped Bears win NCAA titles in 1979 & 1980 & was a top 10 NCAA Scholar-Athlete in addition to establishing numerous records at Cal
  • Also grew up as a competitive skier, but gave up the sport as a sophomore in high school to focus on swimming
