2015 Rugby World Cup selection, 2016 USA Olympian, 2017 World Rugby 7s Dream Team selection and 2018 Rugby World Cup 7s selection…competed at Cal from 2008-2013 and became a three-time national champion and All-American in both 7s and XVs…helped Cal win its first national title in the Olympic style of the game in 2013 at the 7s Collegiate Rugby Championship… made his international debut at the 2014 Las Vegas 7s and since then has competed in 54 world rugby 7s events…one of four players on the Olympic team to have made more than 50 appearances in the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series… In 2019, Barrett received the UL Mark of Excellence Award at the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series Awards for a 60-meter try he scored against New Zealand at the Cape Town Sevens. His efforts that year helped the United States rise to a No. 2 world ranking which gave the Eagles an automatic qualification for the Tokyo Olympics… During the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Barrett scored four tries for the U.S. during the three-day tournament, tallying scores against Argentina, Brazil, Spain and eventual gold medalist Fiji…received his degree in American Studies from Cal.
