HIGH SCHOOL: Two-time Most Outstanding Sprinter and one-time Most Athletic Male at Aliso Niguel High School... anchored the Varsity 4x400m relay team to a Pacific Coast League title 1995, posting a split of 48.9...also ran the first leg of that Year's Pacific Coast Champion Varsity 4x100m relay squad and posted a split of 10.5, advancing to the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Preliminaries... helped his sprint medley relay squad to medalist finishes at the Katella Relays in 1994 and 1995, running the 400m leg... won the 400m race at the 1995 University of the Pacific Invitational... medaled in the 400m at both the Trabuco Hills Invitational and the Irvine Invitational in the 1994-95 season... anchored his Junior Varsity 4x400m relay squad to a third-place finish at the 1994 Orange County Championships... also competed in cross country, basketball and beach volleyball... awarded California Scholastic Federation (CSF) Academic Honors Distinction... ROP Student of the Year... received Student of the Month awards in Mathematics, English and Chemistry.

PERSONAL: Also played football for the Bears... competed at the 2002 NFL Regional Scouting Combine, where he posted a vertical jump of 41 inches and had 30 reps on the bench press... majored in comparative literature (English and French) and dedicated himself to the sciences... was acknowledged in a scientific publication for his research contributions under the supervision of Dr. Daniel Rubinoff at the Sperling Molecular Systematics laboratory.
