A talented attacking player who has blossomed the past two seasons, Cavallo led the Golden Bears in scoring each of the last two years. Through three years, she has 140 points, ranking her fourth in the Cal record book. She is on track to become Cal's all-time leading scorer as senior.
AS A JUNIOR (2006): Tied teammate Liz Reifsnyder for the team lead in scoring, with 51 points...led Cal with 38 goals and was second to Reifsnyder with 13 assists...had two game-winning goals, 21 ground ball and 47 draw controls...selected as MPSF Player of the Week after scoring a game-high six points and a game-high four goals and nabbing a game-high five draw controls in Cal's 12-9 win over MPSF foe UC Davis on April 22...named to the IWLCA All-West/Midwest Regional Team, the All-MPSF Team and the MPSF Academic All-Conference Team.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2005): Had a breakout second year, leading Cal in scoring, with 62 points, goals (44), gamewinning goals (4), ground balls (41) and caused turnovers (32). She also tied Liz Reifsnyder for the team lead in assists (18)....scored gamewinners against Brown, Ohio, Oregon and UC Davis...scored 7 points (5 goals, 2 assists) in 13-9 win over La Salle...also scored 5 goals in wins over Saint Mary's and Ohio...member of All-MPSF and Academic All-MPSF Teams.
AS A FRESHMAN (2004): Cal's sixth-leading scorer, with 27 points (18 goals, 9 assists), was a big spark off the bench...started six games and played in 18...scored a hat trick and added one assist in two straight games, first leading Cal to a 12-11 win over George Washington on March 16 and then helping the Golden Bears rout Le Moyne, 17-6, on March 21.
HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: an All-American in 2002 and 2003...also named to an all-county selection in her junior and senior seasons... led Bay Shore HS to the league championship in 2000 and '01...made the Empire State team in '02 and '03...interdisciplinary studies major...fluent in Italian and Spanish...has one brother, Thomas (15)...moved to the United States from Italy when she turned nine...born on Feb. 18, 1985, in Milan, Italy.
