Maria Bogachenko enters her second season of competition at Cal.
2025
• MPSF All-Newcomer Team
• Third leading scorer with 38 goals as a true freshman
• Scored in 16 games with nine multiple-goal outings
• First goal as a Bear came in a three-goal effort vs. San José State on Feb. 8
• Set career high with six goals scored at LMU on March 9
• Scored five goals at the MPSF Tournament and two in the NCAA quarterfinal
• Earned ACWPC All-Academic honors
• Joined Cal in spring 2025
NATIONAL TEAMS
• A member of the Israeli National Team, is currently team captain
• Has competed for Israel since 2017
• Participated in European Championships, World Championships and Olympic Qualification Tournament
• Was Israel’s top scorer at the U17 European Championships
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB
• A graduate of Hof Hasharon in Israel
• Also attended Amal Bet
• Competed in water polo, rhythmic gymnastics and aerobic gymnastics
• Played club for CN Sant Andreu in Spain from 2023-24 and for Panionios in Greece from 2021-23
• Finished third in Champions League, second in league and first in Spanish Cup with CN Sant Andreu
• Also competed for Nireas Smyrni (2020-21) and Hapoel PT Sharks (2008-20)

• Parents are Elena & Oleg Bogachenko
• Has two siblings: Rachel and Daniel
• Enjoys baking, laughing with friends and going to concerts in her free time
• Has always wanted to skydive
• Majoring in psychology
