Adam Brooks has served as Senior Associate Athletics Director, Development & Chief Growth Officer since July 2026, providing strategic leadership that advances philanthropy, revenue generation and long-term organizational priorities for Cal Athletics. He also serves as the football sport administrator, working closely with the program to support its competitive and operational success.
Brooks is a member of the Director's Cabinet and External Leadership Team, where he helps shape the department's strategic direction during a transformative era in collegiate athletics. In his role as Chief Growth Officer, he oversees strategic initiatives that align organizational priorities, revenue generation and long-term planning across Cal Athletics. He also partners with the department's development leadership to advance philanthropic priorities and strengthen relationships with donors, alumni and campus stakeholders.
As Interim Chief Development Officer during the 2025-26 fiscal year, Brooks led the Cal Athletics Fund to a record-breaking $88.5 million in philanthropic support, surpassing previous fundraising benchmarks while helping position Cal Athletics at the forefront of the Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) and House Settlement era. Through strategic leadership and collaboration across campus and the Cal community, he has helped secure transformational philanthropic investments, supported the successful completion of the department's inaugural Dialpad jersey patch partnership and advanced innovative revenue initiatives that strengthen the long-term future of Cal Athletics.
Since joining Cal Athletics as Director of Development in the spring of 2020, Brooks has been promoted to Associate Athletics Director, Chief Development Officer and Senior Associate Athletics Director, Development & Chief Growth Officer. His progression reflects a commitment to strategic thinking, authentic relationship-building and collaborative leadership that has fueled significant growth across the department's external enterprise.
He and his wife, Kasandra, have three children: Blake, Luke and Jordan.
