BERKELEY – The California men's soccer team briefly returns to nonconference play to take on San Francisco on Saturday at 12 p.m. at Edwards Stadium. This marks the fourth game of a six-game homestand for the Golden Bears, who bring a 3-2-1 overall record into the game against the 2-5-0 Dons.
Admission to Cal home games is $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and $5 for youth. Cal students and staff receive free admission with a valid ID, and entry is free for ages 13 and below Monday through Thursday. Fans can purchase group tickets ahead of time on CalBears.com that will be available for will call pickup for a $3 charge. Last Time: Cal Falls In Big Clasico
Cal took an early lead over then-No. 2 Stanford before eventually falling to the Cardinal, 2-1, on Sept. 20 in the Big Clasico in Berkeley. Forward Jonathan Edwards scored his first goal of the season – and only the second goal Stanford has allowed this year – in the eighth minute to give the Bears a 1-0 lead. But a 40th-minute goal by Arda Bulut tied the game at 1-1, and Gabe Segal hit the gamewinner for Stanford in the 70th-minute.
