Saturday's game was the first between Cal and Duke in 62 seasons. After today's 45-21 victory over the Golden Bears, Duke has a 2-0-1 lead in the all-time series. The Blue Devils were also a 21-7 winner at Duke in 1962, while the teams tied 22-22 in a game played in Berkeley in 1963.
RB Kendrick Raphael posted his first career two-touchdown game with a pair of rushing scores. Raphael has four rushing touchdowns in 2025 and eight in his collegiate career.
ILB Cade Uluave recorded the eighth double-digit tackle game of his career and third this season. Uluave finished with a season-high 12 tackles. His career-high is 15 vs. Miami in 2024.
Cal extended its string of consecutive games with at least one sack to 18 with two In the contest. Luke Ferrelli and Jayden Wayne accounted for the Golden Bears' sacks. Ferrelli's sack was the first of his collegiate career, while Wayne's was his second at Cal.
RB LJ Johnson Jr. made his first Cal start.
DL Tyson Ford made his Cal debut.
