Biography
CAL SUCCESS:
- Stepped into the starting goalkeeper's role as a senior in 2017 and established himself as one of the nation's top men in the cage. Earned ACWPC All-America honorable mention after averaging 11.49 saves per match and compiling a goals-against average of 7.89.
- Also earned All-MPSF honorable mention in 2017.
- Named MPSF Player of the Week twice in 2017. The first came after a 17-save performance at UC Santa Barbara and the second was earned through a memorable 18-save effort in Cal's 6-3 win over USC on Senior Day in Berkeley.
- Made 19 saves against UC Irvine on Oct. 14, the second-most saves in a match by any MPSF goalkeeper in 2017.
- Also finished the 2017 season with 31 steals and 22 assists.
- Awarded the Peter J. Cutino Award for most improved player by the coaching staff.
- Appeared in three matches for the Bears in 2016 and played in 11 quarters.
- Made 32 saves in 2.75 games played, finishing with a goals-against average of 5.45. Averaged 11.64 saves per game.
- Saw his first game action of 2016 in a 16-2 win over Johns Hopkins on Sept. 11. Played the second half and made seven saves.
- Rejoined the Bears for the 2015 season after redshirting in 2013. Did not see game action.
HIGH SCHOOL/NATIONAL TEAM/CLUB SUCCESS:
- A freshman goalie from El Cajon, Calif. who redshirted during the 2013 season
- At Granite Hills High School was ranked third in the CIF for career saves
- Was a five-time club All-American from 2009-13
- Helped his Del Mar club team win the Kap7 Tournament and place second at the Junior Olympics
- Was a member of the National Youth Team in 2010 and 2012
