Cal Success:

• Joined the Bears for the 2017 season and redshirted.

High School/National Team/Club Success:

• Native of Claremont, Calif. played for Claremont HIgh School and Foothill Water Polo Club.
• Three-year varsity letterman at Claremont High was a two-time All-CIF second team selection. Also named first team All-Palomares League twice and as a junior was a second team All-Inland Valley choice.
• Helped Claremont win the CIF Division 5 title as a sophomore, reach the finals as a junior and make the Division 3 quarterfinals as a senior.
• USAWP Junior Olympics participant from 2014-17. Also helped his club take fourth at the 2016 IronMan Superfinals and competed in the 2017 Futures League Superfinals.
• Enjoyed plenty of success in the classroom as well, compiling a high school GPA of 4.42.
• Earned Palomares League first team All-Academic honors in 2015 and 2016. Was a Claremont HS All-Academic honoree both years and was s three-time USAWP Academic All-American Outstanding award winner. A two-time AP Scholar with honor, he also earned the Seal of Biliteracy award.

Personal:

• Parents are Betty and Greg Grant. Has two siblings, Bronte and Kenneth.
• Undeclared major with an interest in Media Studies.
• Served as president of the Cancer Awareness Reaching Everyone Club at Claremont HS from 2015-17.
• Served as head sports editor for the Claremont school newspaper for the 2015-16 school year. Was active with the newspaper throughout high school.
