Biography

Summer 2018: Captured gold in the United States eight at the 2018 World Rowing Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria… Won bronze with the United States eight at the World Rowing Cup III in Lucerne, Switzerland

As a Junior (2018):  Won gold as the 5-seat in Cal’s varsity eight at the 2018 NCAA Championships, helping the Golden Bears claim the overall NCAA team title… Pocock CRCA First Team All-American…Also earned 2018 CRCA Scholar-Athlete Honors and was a First Team Pac-12 All-Academic selection … Helped the Bears’ varsity eight to an undefeated regular season, including winning both the Simpson and Lambert Cups over rivals Washington and Stanford…

Summer 2017: Took second at the 2017 World Rowing U23 Championships for the U.S. 

Sophomore 
2017: All-Academic Pac-12 Honorable Mention… Competed with the Varsity 8+ boat earning eight wins during the regular season... The V8 boat finished second at the Pac-12 Championships  for the Golden Bears and contributed to a team silver...Rowed in the Varsity 8+ boat that finished third at the NCAA Championships and contributed to a second place finish for the Bears. 

Summer 2016: Was a camp assistant at the Lawrence Hall of Science

Freshman (2016): A member of the Bears 2nd Varsity 8+ that won a gold medal at the NCAA National Championship. The 2nd Varsity 8+ helped the bears to earn enough points to become national team champions

Personal: Her parents are Guy and Jennifer... Her sister, Laurel is attending Cornell University... Dana has two cousins who have attended UC Berkeley, Julie Brown (Class of 2014) and Teya Neff (Class of 2018)

National Team: Rowed for the US Junior National Team at the Junior World Championships coming silver place in Hamburg, Germany 2014 and gold in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 2015.

High School: Dana previously rowed at Fayetteville-Manlius High School Rowing Club under Coach Dave Cusano... She has earned the New York State Scholar Athlete Award in 2014 and 2015... She came first at the World Indoor Rowing Championships in 2013 and 2014 and second in 2015... 2014 state silver medalist in the senior women’s 4+…  2012 state silver medalist in the junior women’s 4+… Dana came 7th at the US National Rowing Championships
