Biography

As a Junior (2018): Coxed Cal’s varsity four to gold at the 2018 NCAA Championships, helping the Golden Bears claim the overall NCAA team title… Helped the Bears’ varsity four to a silver medal at the 2018 Pac-12 Championships…Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention… Also spent time in the Bears’ second varsity eight, coxing Cal to victory at the San Diego Crew Classic, Pac-12 Challenge, and Lake Natoma Invitational

Sophomore (2017): All-Academic Pac-12 Honorable Mention...Raced in all regular season regattas, in the 2nd Varsity 8+ and Varsity 4+ boats... Competed in the Pac-12 Championships with the Varsity 4+ earning a silver for the Golden Bears... Coxed the Varsity 4+ boat that finished in second place at the NCAA Championships.
 
Freshman (2016): Coxed the Bears 4+ winning a gold at the NCAA National Championships. The 4+ performance helped the Bears earn enough points to a team national championship

Best part about being on Cal Crew: There are no limits

High School/Personal: Graduated high school with a 4.2 GPA... Riley’s parents are Rich and Laura, both alumni of UC Davis... Her brother, Sean is a 4th year at NYU... Riley’s father, Rich, was a football player at UC Davis and her brother, Sean, is a wrestler at NYU... Learned to cox at Capital Crew under Coach Toby Johnson and Dede Birch... During her senior year she coached the Varsity 8+ and was invited to the US Junior National Team Camp in 2013 and 2014... Postgraduate has ambitions for graduate school and a job in the city.
