Biography

Cal Success:

  • Named MVP of the 2016 NCAA Tournament for his efforts in helping the Bears win their 14th national title. Made 16 saves in Cal's semifinal win over UCLA and stopped 14 more shots in the national championship win over USC.
  • Earned second team All-America and All-MPSF honors after a 2016 season in which he led the conference in saves per game with 11.86. Made 226 saves in just over 19 games played and had a goals-against average of 6.87.
  • Named 2016 Team MVP at the Bears' end-of-year banquet.
  • Had the MPSF's top three games when it came to saves in 2016, starting with an epic 20-save performance to help Cal beat Stanford 11-10 in the Big Splash. Also had 18 saves in a game twice (Pepperdine, UCSB).
  • While he played a pivotal role in both of Cal's wins over USC in 2016, he contributed in a different way in the first victory. A length-of-the-pool shot late in the match resulted in Andric's first career goal and proved important in the Bears' eventual 10-8 win on Sept. 24.
  • Took over the starting role for the 2015 season and earned third team All-America status as well as All-MPSF honorable mention after a tremendous junior year. Appeared in 25 games and averaged 10.75 saves per contest.
  • Finished 2015 with 272 saves and 209 goals allowed.
  • Helped carry the Bears to the 2015 MPSF championship game thanks to a massive 20-save effort in the semifinals against Pacific. Was one of only four MPSF goalkeepers to record 20 saves or more in a game in 2015.
  • Had 19 saves in win over Pacific at the SoCal Invitational on Oct. 10, 2015.
  • Ranked fourth on the team with 31 steals and sixth with 21 assists in 2015.
  • Made 12 appearances in the cage for Cal in his first season as a Bear in 2014. Made 81 saves and allowed just 53 goals, finishing the season with a 6.84 goals against average.
  • Made six saves in Cal debut vs. Santa Clara on Sept. 20, 2014, helping the Bears beat the Broncos 19-4.
