Spring 2017: Completed a tremendous college career as a five-time All-American after collecting her third doubles All-America honor this season, as Manasse and Maya Jansen reached the NCAA Doubles Championship semifinals in Athens, Georgia...Manasse was also named to the All-Pac-12 First Team…ranked 34th to start NCAA doubles, the Golden Bears upset Missouri’s 10th-ranked Amina Ismail and Bea Machado Santos, 6-2, 6-2, in the round of 32, N.C. State’s 22nd-ranked Martina Frantova and Anna Rogers, 6-4, 7-6(6), in the round of 16 and Florida’s 20th-ranked Brooke Austin and Kourtney Keegan – the defending national champions – 7-6(3), 6-2 – in the quarterfinals…the Cal duo lost to Ohio State’s 18th-ranked Francesca Di Lorenzo and Miho Kowase, 6-2, 6-3, in the semis…Manasse and Jansen finished with a No. 11 final ranking…Manasse also played in NCAA singles in Athens, with the 34th-ranked Golden Bear falling to Mississippi’s 27th-ranked Arianne Hartono, 6-2, 6-3, in the round of 64…Manasse earned a No. 40 final singles ranking…posted senior records of 16-8 in singles and 25-9 in doubles…her Cal career records are 114-37 in singles and 104-37 in doubles…collected her sixth Pac-12 Player of the Week honor for winning twice in singles and twice in doubles in a pair of 7-0 routs of Washington and Washington State…one of those wins was an upset of 35th-ranked Stacey Fung, 6-1, 6-3, to clinch against the Huskies…clinched two dual matches, including Cal’s 6-1 win at Colorado on March 31 in Boulder, where she defeated Nuria Ormeño-Ruiz, 5-7, 7-5, 6-4, on court one…won her penultimate singles match in Berkeley, beating 81st-ranked Sybille Gauvain, 6-3, 6-2, on court one in Cal’s 4-0 win over San Jose State in the NCAA round of 64.

Fall 2016: Entered the fall ranked No. 7 in the nation...reached the singles round of 16 at the ITA Northwest Regional Championships…received a USTA wildcard into the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, in which she won her first round over ranked Michigan’s 41st-ranked Kate Fahey, 6-1, 6-4, and eventually fell to North Carolina’s top-ranked Haley Carter, 6-2, 6-2…partnering with Denise Starr, the pair entered the fall ranked No. 3 in doubles…the duo reached the semifinals of the 2016 Northwest Regionals, falling to the other Cal duo of Olivia Hauger and Karla Popovic, 6-1, 5-7, 10-8…Manasse and Starr received an at-large selection into the USTA/ITA National Indoor Championships, falling in the round of 16 to Alabama’s Andie Daniell and Erin Routliffe, 7-5, 6-4.

Spring 2016: Topped a spectacular season with a run to the NCAA doubles championship match, with the fourth-seeded Manasse and Denise Starr falling to Florida’s third-seeded Brooke Austin and Kourtney Keegan, 6-2, 6-0…earned All-America honors in doubles and singles, as Manasse was the No. 6 seed in the NCAA Singles Championship…she reached the round of 16 in NCAA singles, losing to Mississippi State’s 13th-ranked Jasmine Lee, 6-4, 7-6(0)…Manasse, Cal’s No. 1 singles player, finished with a final ITA singles ranking of ninth, while Manasse and Starr wound up with a final ITA doubles ranking of No. 4…the duo claimed the Pac-12 Doubles Team of the Year award in May and posted a 23-11 record this season…Manasse, who notched a 27-13 singles record, won the Pac-12 singles championship, beating UCLA’s Catherine Harrison, 6-3, 6-2, claimed the Pac-12 Singles Player of the Year honor and earned All-Pac-12 First-Team selection…Manasse and Starr won twice in doubles during Cal’s run to its first ITA National Team Indoor Championship…the pair won in the opening round against Wisconsin and then clinched the doubles point in the 4-1 quarterfinal win over Virginia with a 6-2 victory over Danielle Collins and Meghan Kelly on court one…during the regular season, Manasse defeated Stanford star Carol Zhao for the first time, 7-5, 6-4, to clinch Cal’s 4-3 win over the Cardinal on April 3 in Berkeley…Manasse collected three Pac-12 Player of the Week accolades to give her five for her career and became just the sixth player to earn the accolade five times or more...in June named to the 2016 USTA National Collegiate Women's Team.
 
Fall 2015: Prior to the start of the season, Manasse competed in the second annual American Collegiate Invitational at the U.S. Open…then she reached the singles semifinals of the inaugural Oracle/ITA Masters…won the top-flight singles title and – with Starr – captured the top-flight doubles crown at the Cal Nike Fall Invitational…won the doubles title with Starr and advanced to the singles semifinals of the Riviera/ITA All-American championships….reached the doubles semifinals with Starr and got to the singles round of 16 in the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships…Manasse also earned the Sportsmanship Award at national indoors.

Spring 2015: Continued her breakout season in the spring and ended her second year with All-America honors in singles and doubles…also earned a berth on the All-Pac-12 first team…twice named the Pac-12 Player of the Week…the fourth seed in NCAA singles, the fourth-ranked Manasse fell in the round of 16 to Florida’s 13th-ranked and Nos. 9-16-seeded Josie Kuhlman, 6-4, 6-1…paired with Denise Starr as one of the Nos. 5-8 seeds in NCAA doubles and reached the round of 16, losing to Stanford’s 10th-ranked Caroline Doyle/Ellen Tsay, 6-4, 1-6, 6-4…the duo beat Notre Dame’s 29th-ranked Quinn Gleason and Monica Robinson in the round of 32, 6-2, 6-1…ranked seventh in doubles with Starr in the penultimate ITA ranking of the 2014-15 season…in the Pac-12 doubles tournament, Manasse and Starr won twice to reach the semifinals but had to withdraw due to injury…one of the Bears’ big wins during the regular season came in Cal’s 4-3 victory at UCLA on March 20, when Starr and Manasse – then ranked fifth – upset the third-ranked pair of Catherine Harrison/Kyle McPhillips, 8-4, to clinch the doubles point…Manasse finished with a 38-9 singles record – including 12-5 at court-one singles and 26-4 in tournaments – and a 32-10 doubles record in 2014-15, including a 32-10 record with Starr…Manasse has career records of 71-16 (singles) and 56-17 (doubles).

Fall 2014: The second-year Bear had a breakout fall, reaching the singles final of the most prestigious tournament of the fall and forging deep into all of the other tournaments she competed in…Manasse won the top-flight singles crown at the Cal Fall Nike Invitational, beating teammate and doubles partner Denise Starr, 6-4, 6-4, reached the quarterfinal rounds of the USTA/ITA Northwest Regional Championships as well as in the Riviera/ITA All-American, and advanced to the final of the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships…in doubles, Manasse and Starr earned a No. 11 ITA ranking in the fall…the pair won the top-flight title in the Cal Fall Nike Invitational, beating teammates Zsofi Susanyi and Lynn Chi, 8-4, in the final, fell in the final of the USTA/ITA Northwest Regional Championships to Susanyi and Klara Fabikova, 6-1, 6-4, reached the round of 16 in the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, and won the consolation crown at indoors, beating Michigan’s second-seeded Emina Bektas/Alexandria Najarian.

Spring 2014: Posted a 33-7 singles record and a final ITA ranking of No. 61 after a strong first year as a Golden Bear…led the Bears with seven match-clinching victories…clinched Cal’s last team victory of the season, beating Pepperdine’s Apichaya Runglerdkriangkrai, 7-5, 6-2, playing on court six in the NCAA’s round of 32 in Berkeley…Manasse clinched Cal’s regular-season win at Stanford that clinched the Bears’ first Pac-12 championship, beating No. 39 Caroline Doyle, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2…won 10 of her last 12 singles matches… partnered with Denise Starr to win Cal’s last doubles match of the season, an 8-3 victory over No. 50 Taylor Davidson/Ellen Tsay in the Bears’ NCAA round of 16 loss to Stanford in Atlanta…overall Manasse compiled a 24-7 doubles record, including a 12-1 record with Starr…Manasse and Starr earned a final ITA doubles ranking of 33rd, while Manasse and Anett Schutting (10-5) claimed a final ITA doubles ranking of 55th.

Fall 2013: Came on strong late in the fall in singles, first reaching the round of 16 in the USTA/ITA Northwest Regional Championships and then advancing to the final of the ASU Thunderbird Invitational, falling to teammate Denise Starr, 6-1, 6-2…her run to the final in Tempe, Ariz., including an upset of 23rd-ranked teammate Klara Fabikova in the semifinals, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4…she compiled a singles record of 7-2 in her first semester as a Golden Bear…posted a 5-1 doubles record that – with Fabikova as her partner – included a run to the regional’s quarterfinals.

Personal/Previous: Social welfare major...Maegan Manasse is the younger sister of Cal alumna Stephanie Manasse, who played for the Bears in 2005. Another sister - Rachel Manasse - played at Long Beach State...the Tennis Recruiting Network regarded Maegan Manasse as a five-star recruit, ranking her at No. 13 in its national college recruiting list and as the second-best recruit from the state of California.in July of 2013, Manasse won the Manhattan Beach Open, bageling her opponent, former UCLA Bruin Helen Tu, 6-0, 6-0, in the final. In November of 2012, Manasse won the doubles title at the USTA National Open, Girls 18, in Irvine, Calif., where she also reached the round of 16 in singles. One of her best sports moments was when she paired with North Carolina's Ashley Dai to win the doubles crown at the 2012 USTA National Clay Court Championships in Memphis, Tenn...in 2011, Manasse won the CIF Southern Section Singles Championship, overcoming Arizona State's Desirae Krawczyk in the final. The win over Krawczyk gave Manasse a 32-0 singles record for Mira Costa High School, which also named her its Female Athlete of the Year in 2011. Manasse amassed a 68-1 singles record in 2010.
