Haas, Jr. Community Service Award given to a student-athlete for outstanding contribution to community service...was a three-time member of the ACWPC and MPSF All-Academic Teams...was also a two-time recipient of the team's Golden Bear Coaches' Award...had 39 goals with 72 assists and 58 steals in 104 career matches...
AS A SENIOR (2009): Had 19 goals in 28 matches and led the Bears with 15 field blocks...also notched 29 steals, 26 assists and 19 ejections earned...scored two goals in the Bears' 10-8 victory over Stanford in the UCI Invitational, two goals in an MPSF match versus Pepperdine and a team-high two goals in an MPSF match at UC Santa Barbara...
AS A JUNIOR (2008): Had 13 goals in 27 matches with 26 assists, 19 steals, 16 ejections earned and four field blocks...notched a goal against UCLA in the first round of the MPSF Tournament...had a team-high three goals at UC Davis...scored a pair of goals during the Navy Open...was a ACWPC Academic All-American and an MPSF All-Academic selection...
AS A SOPHOMORE (2007): Played in 30 of the team's 32 matches last season, recording 16 assists, nine field blocks, six ejections earned, five steals and four goals...notched two goals against St. Francis at the Navy Open...was a ACWPC Academic All-American and an MPSF All-Academic selection...
AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2006): Competed in 19 matches, scoring goals against MIT, UC Davis and Santa Clara...added six assists, six steals and five ejections earned...redshirted in 2005...
HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: At St. Francis High School was a third-team All-American and first-team All-NorCal, All-Central Coast Section and All-West Catholic Athletic League...scored 91 goals, leading his team to the 2004 Central Coast Section title...was the 2005 recipient of Stephen Jerry Memorial Award as his school's outstanding athlete...represented the Pacific Zone from 2003-05 at the National Age Group Championships, helping his squad capture the 2005 national title...majored in interdisciplinary studies...parents are David and Jane Sample...born February 17, 1987, in Palos Verdes, Calif.
