2012 Quick Hits:

• Named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team
• Starting shortstop, making just six errors across 54 starts
• Hit .275, slugged .442

Berkeley Regional (2012):

• Played all five games at short, one of four infielders to play errorless ball

High School:

• Accumulated countless awards during her senior season, highlighted by the California Gatorade Player of the Year, All-State First-Team, ESPN RISE and Max Preps All-State First-Team, the California Medium Schools Player of the Year, Max Preps All-American and ESPN RISE First-Team All-AmericanPlayed at the 2011 Under Armour Game as an All-American
• Was a finalist for the Max Preps National Player of the Year and California Ms. Softball
• In 2011, was the All-City Player of the Year and her high school's female athlete of the year
• Named First Team All-State Underclassman in 2009 and 2010
• Named First-Team all-league and league MVP four times after leading RHS to four SCAC League titles
• Lauded as the 2010 and the 2011 Daily Republic Female Athlete of the Year
• Took her Rodriguez High School team to a SCAC League championship and Champions of the Sac-Joaquin Division III Section in 2011
• Ran cross country and played junior varsity basketball in 2008
• Four-time scholar-athlete and member of the Principal's Honor Roll
• Named to the National Honor Society from 2009-11 and participated in the Mustang Mentor Program for two years
• Placed on the 2011 All-California Team

Club Ball:

• Member of the U.S. junior national team
• Traveled with the U.S. squad to South Africa in December for Junior Worlds where they won the gold medal
• Named the 2011 USA Softball Junior Player of the Year
• In 2011 with the Lady Magic, she hit .476 and took seventh at nationals
• Won a gold medal with the Americans at the Pan-American games in 2010 in Bogota, Columbia
• In 2009, her ASA team took third at the Champions Cup and 24th at ASA Gold Nationals -Won the Independence Day 16U Championship and national championship in 2008

Personal:

• Mother, Tracy Cordes, attended Sacramento State
• Says her mother is her personal hero
• Considering a media studies major
• Almost committed to UCLA, but a trip to the Cal campus sealed the deal
• Has been a Cal fan since 2002

Can't Keep Her Down:
Cheyenne was always told that she would never play softball at a Pac-12 college. Instead of accepting this as truth, she turned it into part of her motivation.

The Next Erin Andrews:
After graduating, Cheyenne hopes to continue playing for the national team. Her ultimate goal is to be an ESPN sports anchor.
