HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: At Acalanes High School was coached by Cal assistant Jon Zuber and former Bear Andy Tarpley...finished his last two years of high school with a 17-5 mark and a 1.80 ERA...was ranked the 33rd-best left-handed pitcher by Team One Baseball after finishing 10-2 with a 1.62 ERA as a junior, earning first-team All-DFAL honors...competed in the Team One Baseball Showcase in Phoenix in the summer of 2004...undeclared major...great grandfather, Francis Watson, attended Cal...parents are John and Diane Watson...born August 22, 1987 in Walnut Creek, Calif.
