Biography

Fall 2021: Split time in goal with Chris Gustini, with Travasos starting six of 10 games played and earning the win in a 2-1 result over No. 22 UCLA on Oct. 21 in Berkeley…the win against the Bruins followed a strong performance at Santa Clara, as Travasos, with Cal trailing the Broncos 3-0, blanked SCU the rest of the way as the Bears rallied for a 3-3, double-overtime tie…Travasos made five saves in 65 minute to earn the tie with the Broncos.

Spring 2021: Had a breakout first season in goal, posting a 1.59 goals-against average and three shutouts...played all 10 games and started eight...earned his first Pac-12 Player of the Week honor after he made five saves in the Bears' 0-0, double-overtime tie with No. 9 Stanford on March 24 on the Farm and also made five saves on March 28, when Cal upset No. 3 Oregon State, 1-0, in Berkeley...Travasos also earned the Top Drawer Soccer Player of the Week accolade and a spot on the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week for his play against the Cardinal and Beavers...he also made four saves to shut out UCLA in a 2-0 Cal win on March 20 in Berkeley.

Personal/Previous: Economics major...four-star recruit by Top Drawer Soccer...played on the U18 Men's National Team... regarded as one of the top goalkeeper recruits in the country...in high school played for and captained Nomads, Surf and Atlanta United...played USL League 2 for SoCal Surf at 16...won Copa Chivas in Guadalajara in 2017...competed in the Mercedes Benz Junior Cup in Germany and beat Liverpool.
