Spring 2018: Defeated Cal Poly’s Abby Bacharach, 6-0, 6-2, in the Cal Winter Invitational…graduated in May 2018 with a degree in business administration…finished her Cal career with a singles record of 8-49 and a doubles record of 8-24.

Fall 2017: Was 1-8 in doubles and 0-11 in singles…paired with Jasie Dunk to beat Eastern Washington’s Rachel Swindell and Marta Heinen, 8-3, in the Saint Mary’s Fall Invitational doubles quarterfinals.

Spring 2017: Wound up the season with a 5-16 singles record and 3-8 doubles record.

Fall 2016: Finished the fall with a 4-14 record…Mayer posted two wins at the Cal Nike Fall Invitational.

Spring 2016: Posted an overall singles record of 2-13 and an overall doubles mark of 4-8 for the season.
 
Fall 2015: Paired with Stephane Lin to reach the doubles round of 16 at the USTA/ITA Northwest Regional Championships, with the Bears beating Isabelle Von Ebbe and Kamila Kecki of UC Davis, 8-7(5), in the round of 64 and Eastern Washington’s Dani Young and Faye Worrall, 8-5, in the round of 32…in singles, Mayer beat Cal Poly’s Sayaka Tsugai, 6-3, 6-3, in the Cal Nike Fall Invitational and Cal Poly’s Celine Gruaz, 6-0, 6-1, in the Saint Mary’s Fall Invitational.

Personal/Previous: Business administration major…interested in economics and business and possibly attending business or law school...graduated from Rio Mesa High School with a 4.5 grade-point average…three-time Pacific View League undefeated singles champion…four-time MVP for her high school, which named her its 2014 Female Athlete of the Year…a sports reporter for CalTV, Mayer interviewed Cal head coach Amanda Augustus and then-senior Zsofi Susanyi for a story during the 2014-15 season…Mayer is a third-generation Golden Bear, as great Aunt Teresa May, uncles Greg Lawler and Joe Mayer, and aunt Liz Lawler are Cal alums …parents are Daniel Mayer, Jennifer Lawler and stepfather Michael Leija…siblings are Natalie Mayer and Hunter Leija.
