Biography

AS A JUNIOR (2016):
- Batted .251 with seven triples, five doubles, 36 runs scored and 26 RBI in 53 games played
- Compiled a 1.000 fielding percentage as Cal's primary center fielder
- Drafted by Miami in the eighth round of the MLB First Year Player Draft
- Led the Bears in triples (7) and finished his career inside Cal's all-time top 10 in the category
- Finished the year fifth on the club in hits (54) and first in steals (10)
- Also tied for the team lead in sacrifice bunts (8) with Preston Grand Pre

AS A SOPHOMORE (2015):
- Batted .310 (72-for-232, .287 vs. Pac-12) with seven doubles, four triples, and 23 RBI
- Had the third highest batting average on the team out of the leadoff spot
- Ranked ninth in the Pac-12 in runs scored (45) and tied for fourth in triples (4)
- Stole a team-high 12 bases

- Selected a California Region Honorable Mention Rawlings All-American in 2012, and was a Perfect Game USA Honorable Mention All-American in 2010 and 2011
- Was a standout football safety, earning first-team all-league, all-city, all-section and was the 2013 State Final Player of the Game - leading his school to the state title
- Is the younger brother of Cal All-American Andrew Knapp (a 2013 second round selection of the Philadelphia Phillies) and the son of former Bear catcher Mike Knapp
