AS A SENIOR (2018):
- Closed a tremendous Cal career as the Golden Bears' Friday starter and team leader in 2018 and went 7-5 in 15 starts.
- Ranked second on the team with 53 strikeouts and walked only 13. Finished the season with a 5.12 ERA.
- Spent much of the year in the nation's top five for walks allowed per nine innings. Ended the season ranked second in the Pac-12 for fewest walks allowed.
- Allowed no earned runs on April 26 at Stanford and helped lead the Bears to a 4-3 victory over the Cardinal.
- Struck out a season-high seven against Cincinnati on Feb. 17.
- Took a no-decision in his final start as a Golden Bear but pitched extremely well, allowing just three runs in seven innings at Arizona State on May 24.
- Important contributor throughout four years at Cal finished his collegiate career with a 19-15 record and 4.05 ERA. Pitched 275.1 innings and made 56 appearances (51 starts) as a Golden Bear.
AS A JUNIOR (2017):
- Appeared in 12 games with 11 starts and compiled a 2-2 record and 4.53 ERA in 51.2 innings pitched.
- Struck out 19 and walked 19 with a .266 batting average against.
- Finished first in ERA among Cal starters.
- Won his season debut with a strong 7.1-inning performance against Cal Poly on Feb. 19 in which he scattered eight hits and allowed just one run.
- Earned win No. 2 against Arizona State on April 9 when he struck out four with no walks and allowed just one run in a 10-2 victory.
- Cal went 7-4 in his 11 starts.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2016):
- Appeared in 13 games for the Bears, starting nine.
- Recorded three wins.
- Highlight of season came on March 26 against No. 3 Oregon State when he spun 7 2/3 hitless innings against the Beavers. Struck out two and walked just one in a 73-pitch effort.
- Pitched a season-high eight innings on April 17 at Arizona State.
- Recorded a season-high five strikeouts on Apr. 24 Arizona, on another season-high 121 pitches.
- Finished the season with a 4.30 ERA in 58.2 IP.
AS A FRESHMAN (2015):
- Named Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball.
- Was 7-4 with a 2.67 ERA and 28 strikeouts in 87.2 innings.
- Ranked 11th in the Pac-12 in ERA (2.67), and ninth in the conference in wins (7).
- His 16 starts are tied for the most in the Pac-12.
- Made collegiate debut on Feb. 16 at Stanford, when he tossed 7.0 shutout innings, allowing three hits and striking out a career-best four Cardinal hitters.
- Threw 8.0 innings of one run ball on March 8 vs. Chicago State to earn the win.
HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL:
- At Campolindo High School was team's starting left-hander, helping his team to two North Coast Section titles and for straight league titles
- Was the 2014 DFAL Most Valuable Pitcher and first-team All-East Bay, going 8-2 with 73 strikeouts and an 0.40 ERA in 84.2 innings
- As a junior went 5-2 with 56 strikeouts and a 0.54 ERA in 78.0 innings
- As a sophomore was a perfect 8-0 with 49 strikeouts in 49.0 innings pitched and a 1.70 ERA
- Joined fellow Cal freshman and high school teammate Denis Karas as a Perfect Game 2013 Underclass Honorable Mention selection
