National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete ... earned first-team All-MEL, All-City and All-Region defensive lineman honors as a junior in 2007 as well, finishing with a team-high 70 tackles as well as 2.0 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery ... picked up honorable mention All-MEL honors as an offensive lineman during his sophomore campaign ... also threw both the shot put and discus in track and field.
