Personal: Undeclared major…interested in pursuing a business degree…was ranked as high as the 49th-best national recruit and the 10th-best recruit from the state of California before signing with Cal…holds a career-best ITF Junior ranking of 322…reached the fourth round of main draw singles and the third round of main draw doubles in the 2019 USTA Boys' 18 & 16 National Championships...also in 2019, while competing in several Canadian tournaments, Gampel advanced to the singles final of a J5 tournament in Victoria, British Columbia, the singles semifinals of a J4 tournament in North Vancouver, and reached another singles final, this time in a J4 event, in Burlington…parents are Irina and Yury Gampel…older sisters are Leah, Brianna and Yael.
