BERKELEY - Freshman Jayme Goodwin came to the Bears by way of nearby Dublin, Calif., with the expectation that she would be a threat on the base paths after excelling as a track prepster. Threaten the opposition she did in 10 appearances, primarily as a baserunner with a stint at third base. In her first year in the Cal uniform, Goodwin scored four runs. CalBears.com recently caught up with the 5-8 utility to see how her freshman campaign went - in the classroom as well as on and off the diamond.
