Sara Nevin is in her first season back with the Cal program after previously spending 10 years on the Golden Bears staff from 2010-19.
During her previous time at Cal, Nevin helped the Bears claim seven conference championships and two NCAA crowns. She then moved on to become the head coach at Mills College, where she retired from in June of 2020.
Nevin enjoyed a decorated athletic career that included three national championships at Washington and a stint with the U.S. National Team. She began her coaching career on the high school and club level in the Seattle area then went on to serve as executive director and head coach of the Lake Lanier Rowing Club in Georgia. She also served as an assistant coach for the Serbian National Team, where one of her athletes was former Cal star and 2008 Olympian Iva Obradovic.
