Women's Golf In 13th Place After the Second Round of the Stanford Intercollegiate

STANFORD - The California women's golf team remained in 13th place after two rounds of the 18-team Stanford Intercollegiate Saturday at Stanford Golf Course. The Golden Bears shot a 314 today, giving them a two-round score of 625 with the final round set for a shot gun start Sunday at 8:30 a.m.

Top-ranked Arizona maintained its first round lead, firing a second-round score of 293. The Wildcats stand at 570, 12 strokes ahead of second-place Stanford (582).

There is a three-way tie for medalist honors with a total of 140 between Tulsa's Stacy Prammanasudh and Arizona's Lorena Ochoa and Natalie Gulbis.

California's top performer continues to be freshman Sarah Huarte who is tied for 27th after carding a 78 today and a 36-hole score of 151. Bears sophomore Vikki Laing is one stroke behind Huarte in a tie for 29th after shooting a 75 Saturday.

The Bears wrap up their fall season Sunday with the final round of the Stanford Intercollegiate.
