No. 5 Pepperdine Edges No. 6 Cal In Women's Tennis

MALIBU, Calif. - In a battle featuring two of the nation's top women's tennis programs, No. 5
ranked Pepperdine edged No. 6 ranked California by a final score of 5-4 on
Sunday afternoon at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center.
Pepperdine won four of the six singles matches and secured the dual match
victory when Paola Palencia and Ipek Senoglu recorded an 8-3 win at No. 1
doubles over the Golden Bears' team of Claire Curran and Amy Jensen.
With the victory, Pepperdine improves its dual match record to 14-3.
California slips to 12-4 on the season.
Pepperdine returns to action next Tuesday (March 28) afternoon, hosting
Harvard at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center beginning at 1:30 p.m.
