SEATTLE -
Cal's Peter Tomasulo finished tied for second after shooting a final-round 69 Tuesday at the Husky Invitational. As a team, the Bears rebounded from a rough first round and finished in seventh place.
The University of Washington, which hosted the tournament, took first place and was led by Husky senior Gordy Scutt. He posted a final-round score of 70 to win medalist honors.
Following a strong freshman season, Tomasulo continues to be a cornerstone of the young Cal team. Already this season Tomasulo has finished tied for seventh, 13th and second place.
At last year's Husky Invitational, Tomasulo finished tied for fifth while the Bears captured fifth place as a team.
Cal travels to Malibu, Calif., on Oct. 8-9 to compete in the Pepperdine Intercollegiate.
