MOSCOW, Idaho - The California men's golf team placed third at the Vandal Fall Classic on Sept. 24-25. After finishing the first day in fourth place, a third-round 71 by junior Scott Carlyle and a pair of 70s by Peter Tomasulo and Walter Chun vaulted the Bears into third.

Cal placed four of its five golfers in the Top 25 individually. Carlyle carded a 54-hole 207 (-6) and finished in third place.

The third-place finish comes two weeks after Cal placed fourth at its season-opening tournament.
