Box Score
California Head Coach Ben Braun
"Something that's always been a key (for Arizona) is rebounding the ball.
We didn't go out and rebound the ball, and that's what really hurt us."
"Every time we got within 10 or 12 (points), we didn't get the defensive
stops. We couldn't close the gap because we couldn't get the consistency on
the defensive end."
"We are a better team when we rebound, and Arizona exposed that. They're a
very hard team to defend."
"We could have come to Arizona and played well and still lost. That's
possible in Arizona, to play well and still lose."
"We had a lot of foul trouble in the first half."
"That was our worst free throw shooting game of the year. When you get to
the line, you've got to capitalize, and we didn't do that."
"I'm not going to allow our team to lose confidence, but I want them to have
a reality check. If we want to be effective in this league, we can't shut
down after losing to Arizona and Arizona State."
"I think Arizona gives a lot of teams wake-up calls. You can't be
inconsistent in Arizona. Every time we let up, they made us pay the price.
They've got tremendous depth."
On Rick Anderson:
"We allowed Anderson to be a shooter. I'm sure he appreciates that."
On Jason Gardner:
"A lot of what Jason does doesn't show up on the scoreboard. What I like is
that he goes out and gets seven assists and doesn't turn the ball over."
On Andre Iguodala:
"He's got good range. He's an active player, and he did a good job on Joe
(Shipp). Joe ended up forcing a few shots."
