Cal Head Coach Ben Braun
"When you looked out on the floor, you saw a lot of determination. We had a will to win. We weren't just settling for jump shots, and we out rebounded Arizona State by about eight or ten in the second half, and I think those factors really spelled victory for us."

"We worked on our zone this week. So anytime you can hold Ike Diogu to seven shots, that gives your team a chance to win. So I think our players did a good job in the zone, in finding people and of course rebounding."

On Donte Smith
"Some people think that coaches will just reward seniors with starts, but Donte has been playing well in practice. What he did in the beginning of the game for us was instrumental. He knocked down some shots and really ran the offense well for us.
