SAN DIEGO - Cal's varsity eight moved comfortably into the Jessop-Whittier Cup finals besting rival Washington in heat A by a slim .25 seconds on Saturday. The novice eight also finished at the top of their heat with a time of 7:27.8 seconds.

The JV eight finished a close second to Washington State in their heat with a time of 7:34.7 seconds. They move on into the finals as well. Cal's lightweight eight finished third in their heat behind Villanova and Stanford with a time of 7:53.58 over 2000 meters.

The Women's open eight finished second in their heat with a time of 7:14.12.
