RANCHO CORDOVA - California's Varsity Eight placed fourth at the Pac-10 championships Saturday at Lake Natoma. They finished 6.4 seconds behind a surprising Stanford crew which ended Washington's 11 year grip on the title. Cal's JV 8 and Varsity Four both won the Pac-10 title. The closest was the JV race where Cal triumphed over Washington by .6 seconds. The one seat victory ended Washington's six year streak in the JV eight and helped Cal take second in the overall team title.

Next up for the Bears is the NCAA rowing championships on May 30th in Indiana.
