On the team's first win over Arizona since 1999:
"We didn't come here not to play hard. From an effort standpoint it was there. Against a team like Arizona, our team had to play that way. We always are definitely looking to run. I thought we could push the ball against them. One of the most impressive stats to me was that we turned the ball over only seven times tonight."
"I'm happy for all of our fans. I'm happy for all of the people involved in our program."
On the team's improvement this season and winning record:
"There are certainly some areas where we need to improve. You don't improve just drawing up diagrams. You've got to go out there and play. Our record (10-9) is something we've had to work awfully hard for. As long as our team is getting better, that's what I focus on as a coach."
On the play of Leon Powe:
"He did a great job. If you look at the improvement he's had so far... just in passing the ball out of double teams. He had to make some very good reads tonight. I was very happy with his effort tonight."
