The California Golden Bears men's gymnastics team bettered their, 217.000, 2004 season average, by posting a 217.300, Sunday, in Colorado Springs, CO. The Bears upended the University of Illinois-Chicago by over four points, 217.300-213.250, and the Air Force Academy by over ten points, 217.300-206.750.

The Bears were led, again, by Graham Ackerman, who is coming into his own in his junior campaign. Ackerman matched a career-high in the floor exercise, with a 9.750. He also scored a 9.425 in the high bar.

David Eaton continued to improve on the pommel horse registering a 9.650, while,freshman, R.J. Heflin stuck a 9.500 on pommels, on his way to a 52.550 all-around score.

Jay Yee was also able to bounce back into the flow of things after a couple of slow weeks, averaging a 9.500 in the still rings.
