Bruins Slide By Bears, 4-3
April 2, 2004
BERKELEY, Calif. -
The California Golden Bears women's tennis team let the UCLA Bruins slip out of Berkeley with a slim, 4-3, victory on Friday at the Hellman Tennis Center in Berkeley. The Bears' record moves to 13-6 on the season and an even 4-4 in Pac-10 play. Today's loss coupled with Wednesday's mishap against Stanford marks the first time this season the Bears have dropped back-to-back decisions.
Nicole Havlicek recorded her 23rd victory of the season on court No. 3, while Raquel Kops-Jones competed on court No. 4 for the first time since her freshman campaign, defeating UCLA's Sarah Gregg for her 19th victory of the season.
