TEMPE, Ariz. - On the final day of the 11th annual ASU/Thunderbird Invitational, California's Jessica Shu won the singles main draw, as the Bears wrapped up its fall season.

Shu, a senior from San Francisco, defeated Rebecca Rankin of ASU, 6-1, 6-2, in the final round of the tournament Sunday afternoon. Shu finishes the fall season with a 9-3 singles record.

Rebecca Rankin of ASU took home second place, while Sun Devils teammate Roxanne Clarke took third after defeating Nina Yaftali of Michigan, 6-2, 6-2.

The California women's tennis team begins its regular season Jan. 13-15 when it heads to Ann Arbor, Mich., for the Michigan Invitational.
