California Head Coach Ben Braun

On the battle against Washington State:
"Washington State has been playing really good basketball. They beat Stanford and Arizona. (Thomas) Kelati made that three to push us into overtime. Our guys worked so hard though. It really sends a great message that you've got to go out and battle. You have to move forward and hold nothing back. We are really proud."

On Dominic McGuire:
"He really made an unselfish play at the end of the game when he fed (Marquise) Kately the ball. He avoided the charge and the foul and he made the play happen. It was a really great game to go out on."

On Marquise Kately:
"He really has a commitment to playing with intensity and emotion. It is a good sign to see the whole team play that way. A real sign for the better. Things don't come easily. You have to go out and battle back and Kately took that big step tonight."

On the five players who played all of overtime:
"I really appreciate Ayinde's (Ubaka) effort. He couldn't practice yesterday because of a bad ankle. The whole team really had good energy down the stretch."
