No. 7 California Upset by No. 10 Stanford at Maples Pavilion

No. 10 Stanford upset No. 7 California on Sunday, defeating the Golden Bears by a score of 222.675-219.775 at Maples Pavilion. The loss comes one day after Cal finished in first place at the Peter Vidmar Invitational.
Junior co-captain Shawn Mowry placed first on floor, receiving a 9.650, to edge Stanford's David Sender (9.600) for the top spot.
Freshman Tyler Block recorded a 9.550 on the still rings, earning him a tie for second place with Sender and Peter Derman.
Fellow freshman Colin Christ capped off an impressive weekend performance with a first place finish on the high bar, where he scored a 9.550.
The Bears will host Temple, Friday, March 11 at 7:30 p.m. at Haas Pavilion.
