Cal set a season high with nine steals. The Bears' previous best was eight set at Arizona Thursday night.

Eric Vierneisel tied career highs with 12 points and four assists. In his last three games, Vierneisel has scored 33 points, equaling his output for all of last year.

Saturday's result was Cal's first overtime win on the road since beating Cleveland State, 73-64, on Nov. 30, 2002. It was also the Bears' first Pac-10 OT win on the road since defeating USC, 92-91, on Jan. 24, 2002.

After shooting just 35.0 percent in the first half (7-20), Cal shot 60.0 percent from the floor in the second half (12-20).

Cal sank 12 three-pointers just two days after making 13 treys at Arizona. For the season, the Bears have connected on 106 from behind the arc, an average of 7.57 per game.

Theo Robertson played 44 of 45 possible minutes with the assignment of guarding ASU power forward Serge Angounou. Robertson held him to just six points and three shots.

Cal improved to 9-0 this season when holding teams to 70 points or less.
