Pittullo Post Season-Highs in Women's Gymnastics Second-Place Finish

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. - The California women's gymnastics team finished second at West Virginia's tri-meet on Friday night in Morgantown, W. Va. The No. 23 Mountaineers finished first (194.450), Cal fell in second (191.000) and Pittsburgh finished last (188.700).
Senior Britani Pittullo posted a season-high 48.425 to finish second in the all-around competition. Pittullo collected a 9.750 (vault), 9.750 (bars), 9.250 (beam) and a season-high 9.750 on the floor.
The Golden Bears posted a 48.075 on the bars. Cal was led by freshman Joanna Bennett on the bar with her 9.800 in the event. Bennett finished tied for third. Freshman Lydia Williams also posted a 9.775, finishing fifth in the event. Pittullo finished sixth with her 9.750.
Freshman Tiffany Tam matched her career-high of 9.675 on the beam. Tam tied for third. Williams also posted a 9.675 on the beam.
On the vault, junior Isabel Garcia scored a 9.725.
The Bears will travel to Washington, D.C. to face George Washington and North Carolina State on Sunday. The meet is set to start at 1 p.m. (EST).
