No. 14 California is in a tie for fifth place with Pepperdine with a score of 601 Saturday after the second round of the Stanford Intercollegiate at Stanford Golf Course.
No. 2 Duke continues to lead the 18-team field with a six-over 574. No. 4 Arizona State is second at 586, and No. 1 UCLA is third at 587. Arkansas is fourth at 597.
The Blue Devils' Amanda Blumenherst is in first place at three-under 139 following rounds of 66 and 73. Arkansas' Stacy Lewis is second at 141.
Junior Allison Goodman leads Cal at four-over 146 after shooting another round of 73 today. Goodman was at even par on the front nine today with the help of her only two birdies in the round. Freshman Pia Halbig is the Bears' next best golfer in a tie for 22nd at 149, and sophomore Roseanne Niven is tied for 28th at 150. Niven sank four straight birdies on holes seven through 10.
Cal sophomore Sofia Janer is tied for 51st at 156, and junior Shannon Yocum is tied for 56th at 158.
Cal tees off the final round Sunday at 8:15 a.m. from the first tee. The Bears will be playing in threesomes with Arkansas and Pepperdine.
