The California Golden Bear women's golf team finished in 19th place after registering a final round 329 in the 2007 NCAA West Regional at the par 71, 6,234-yard Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club on Saturday. Cal carded a total team score of 957 in 54 holes of competition.

Oklahoma State and Stanford both finished the tournament 22-over to capture the regional championship. OSU fired a final round 293, while Stanford posted a final round 287. Arizona State came in third, followed by Denver, BYU, UC Irvine, Pepperdine and New Mexico. All eight teams will advance to the national championship held in Dayton Beach, Fla.

Sophomore Allison Goodman led the Bears in regional play with a three-day total of 230, including a final round 83. Goodman paced Cal in eight of its 11 tournaments this season. Freshman Sofia Janer had the best round for Cal on the day after carding an 80 in the final stanza (240 for the tournament). Shannon Yocum (244), Christina Frick (248) and Roseanne Niven (168) rounded out the rest of the Cal finishers.

Janer began the third round just like she did in the second round by nailing a birdie shot on the par-five 11. Janer, though, had a miscue on the 12th with a bogey to move back to even par. She would remain even until she double bogeyed two of the last three holes on the back nine.

Goodman, who finished tied for 48th individually, struggled in her final round of competition, netting four consecutive double bogeys on holes 15-18. She did however have eight par makes on her final nine holes.
