No. 5 Cal Drops Fresno Pacific, 23-4

FORT COLLINS, Colo. -The No. 5 California women's water polo team handily defeated Fresno Pacific, 23-4, Sunday morning at the Colorado State Invitational. The Golden Bears, who are now 10-0 overall and 4-0 in the tournament, advance to the championship game at 12:30 p.m. PST against host team CSU.
Cal built an insurmountable lead in the first half - scoring nine goals in the first quarter and seven in the second. Fresno Pacific had its best period in the third quarter with three goals while Cal scored five. The Bears added on an extra two in the final period to bring the final score to 23-4.
Coral Kemp had a team-high and personal best of four goals. Goalkeeper Lauren Burke had 13 saves while Stephanie Peckham had two.
