THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - The No. 7 California women's water polo team breezed by Redlands, 16-2, on Sunday at the Samuelson Aquatics Center at the Cal Lutheran Tournament. Senior two-meter driver Paige Lorenz paced the Bears with three goals. The Golden Bears improve to 18-4 overall and a perfect 3-0 at this weekend`s tournament.

Cal exhibited its dominance in the first quarter, scoring seven goals and allowing one Redland score. In the second stanza, the Bears tacked on three goals to Redlands' one to bring the halftime score to 10-2.

The Golden Bear defense shut out Redlands for the entirety of the second half. The Cal offense went to work, scoring six goals -- four in the third and two in the fourth -- to bring the final total to 16-2.

Cal next takes on Ponoma-Pitzer at 2:45 p.m.
