SAN FRANCISCO - California men's tennis sophomore Riki McLachlan and freshman Ben McLachlan were edged for the doubles championship at the second-annual Battle in the Bay Classic at the California Tennis Club on Sunday, Oct. 3. The duo fell to USC's second-seeded team of sophomore JT Sundling and freshman Raymond Sarmiento, 8-2, in the final. Sarmiento--the ninth-ranked freshman in the nation--also won the singles championship by defeating San Francisco's top-seeded junior Thai Tu, 3-6, 6-2, 6-1.
