STOCKTON, CALIF. - The No. 1-ranked Cal men's water polo team was down 8-7 entering the fourth period, but outscored Pacific, 3-0, in the final quarter to win, 10-8, Saturday in Stockton. The Golden Bears, who were led by two goals apiece from juniors Zach Greenwood, Cory Nasoff and Ivan Rackov, won their 12th match in a row to improve to 20-2 overall and 7-0 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.

Cal had trailed 8-7 when the Tigers' Austin Delong scored with 4:55 left in the third period. But the Bears dominated the fourth period. Senior captain Brian Dudley tied the match, 8-8, with 4:01 left in the contest and then Greenwood sealed the win for Cal with goals at 2:18 and 1:31 in the fourth period.

Other scorers for the Bears included senior Zach White, junior Luka Saponjic and freshman Collin Smith. It was the third time Cal had defeated the Tigers twice this season, including winning, 15-3, Oct. 3 at the SoCal Invitational, and, 11-8, Oct. 22 in a non-conference match at Spieker Aquatics Complex.

"We had some great plays in the fourth quarter to make a big comeback," said Cal coach Kirk Everist. "(Goalie) Justin Parson's penalty block and Zach Greenwoods two goals were huge. We didn't play our best today, but the guys found a way to win."

The Bears will next host Bay Area rival Stanford in the Big Splash, Friday, Nov. 19 at 6 p.m. at Spieker Aquatics Complex. Cal has upended the No. 3-ranked Cardinal twice this season, 11-8 during the NorCal Invitational and 13-9 at the SoCal Invitational.
