LOS ANGELES - California Head Coach Mike Montgomery:

On the UCLA offense
They shot the ball well from three. They were 10-for-24. I didn't think they would shoot the ball that well from that range. I have to give them credit.

On the game
We switched back from man to zone and, like I said, they got us on the threes, but they also got us on the boards. They were more physical than us; physically, they just handled us with their big lineup. I'm glad that we battled. I thought, if we're going to be aggressive, we would have to match their physicality. We made one (three-pointer) and they made 10. That's hard to overcome. Nelson is really physical. He's like a bull in a china shop.

Junior forward Harper Kamp:
They did a great job of playing us on the outside. We've been playing zone for a lot of the conference; it protects us foul-wise. But on a couple of possessions, though, we played man. They shot the ball really well. I'm pretty sure it was one of their best shooting games. I thought we did a decent job except on ball screens.
