No. 16 California Finishes 16th

Senior Joanne Lee anchored the No. 16 California Golden Bear women's golf team, shooting an even-par 24 in the final round of the Mercedes-Benz SEC/Pac-12 Challenge. The Bears finished the tournament in 16th place.
The Bears entered the third round in a tie for 13th place. They dropped two strokes off their second round score, finishing with a 300. They ended the three-day tournament, being played at the par-72, 6,447-yard course at Houlston Hills Country Club, in 16th place with a total of 901. Alabama, who led going into the second round, held on for the team victory with a three-day total of 865.
Senior Joanne Lee had the low final round and the lowest overall score among the Bears. Lee shot an even-par 72 in the final round. She had a birdie on her second-to-last hole to come in with the 72. She finished the tournament in a tie for 24th place at +4. Alabama's Stephanie Meadow was the individual medalist at five-under.
This was the final tournament of the fall portion of the schedule. They will begin their spring schedule in February at the Peg Barnard Invitational at Stanford.
