BERKELEY - Strong wind and rain forced the cancellation of much of the second day of competition at the Cal Multis meet Thursday at Edwards Stadium.

The 55 decathletes and heptathletes were divided into A and B groups. Those in the B group got underway in the morning and finished their events, but with conditions worsening in the afternoon, the A group events were called off.

The Cal track & field team will be back in action this weekend at the Stanford Invitational Friday and Saturday and at the San Francisco State Distance Festival Friday. The Bears return to campus for their final home meet April 22-23 with the annual Brutus Hamilton Invitational.
